Big Lil Sis is moving to Regina!

As some of you already know, Sherry and James are moving to Regina! James got a promotion and they will be moving here in June. You have no idea how excited I am for this! To have them in the same city is going to be a blast. I've been counting down the weeks for a while now and its not to far away. I cant wait!...Maybe Mom and Dad will come visit more often now :-P
I've been looking through all my pictures...trying to find something to blog about and nothing really stands out...I mean...I have thousands of pictures but im sure you dont really want to know about how many times I've changed my mind on where I want a flower bed, or how we just replaced all our windows in our house...etc. We did so much stuff to our house last year that if you saw before and after pictures it looks totally different...maybe one of these days I will take the "after" photo and post that. This year we dont plan on doing to much...just laying sod over the garden area (I AM NOT HAVING A GARDEN AGAIN THIS YEAR!) and planting a few shrubs, etc. to make it look purdy...I am soooo excited that its the start of spring..I've already purchased a new spring jacket and made a list of all the flowers I want to plant. I LOVE SPRING!!!

I guess I will post one picture. Last year, my friend Jolene and I planted a garden in my back yard. (She is the green thumb..not I) I was really impressed with the turn out for a first try. The pumkins took over the whole garden though...and I think I have enough tomatoes (now frozen in my deep freeze) to last me 4 years!

Happy Birthday Great Grandma Mitchell!

Sat. March 24th was Chris' Great Grandma Mitchell's 100th Birthday! Thats right 100 years old! We went out to the care home in Moose Jaw where she lives and has lived for the last few years. The family had a little celebration for her. She has a hard time hearing unless your really up close and a bit of a hard time seeing as well. I dont know what it is about grandparents but there is nothing like it in the world..the feeling you get when you get a hug from a grandparent. So much love to give I guess. I gave her a big hug and said Happy Birthday Grandma, and even though shes only known me for a couple years, she knows who I am and gives the biggest smile and says "Thank you for coming."

This past week has been a very long week. Busy at work and Chris Grandpa Dave (Fraser) has bypass surgery on Tuesday. Hes still at the hospital resting and doing well. It will be a long year of recovery for him as he cant do his usual gardening and golfing. I'll give updates when I know more.

Chris and I went grocery shopping today. I like it when we shop together. Chris hates it cause I check prices on everything but hey...I got my grandpa's genes..I gotta get the best deal! We also washed our new car for the first time, its shiny again! We have not alot of snow anymore, in fact, chris and I raked up some leaves and tidy the back yard..with the school across the street, alot of junk food wrappers blow into our yard. :-(

One last thing to post. This weekend when were were out in Moose Jaw, we got to see Chris' little baby cousin Aubrey. Shes about 7 months old I guess...Shes so cute. crazy hair, but cute.

Is it really going to be spring soon?

Just two weeks ago it was winter...we got a ton of snow right as all of our windows were scheduled to be replaced. It snowed and snowed and snowed and the wind was insane. We have a bench out in our back yard and I took a picture as the snow was up to the bench..It was the lowest part of our yard.
This week is another story..Its been melting every day for the past 5 days or so. Our sump pump in the basement is running every hour trying to keep up to the water. I took a new picture today of our backyard to show you how much in fact that it has melted.

What about me...im part of the family too!
